List of Regenerative Agriculture Documentaries, Educators and Organizations; Including Regenerative Farming, Ranching and Bison Resources

If you’re looking for a list of resources to learn more about regenerative agriculture you’ve come to the right place. The lists below are our ongoing curation of people, organizations, films, documentaries and resources that will help you learn more about regenerative agriculture, farming and ranching.

Regenerative agriculture isn’t just about growing healthy food and raising healthy animals—it’s about restoring the land, supporting local communities, and working with nature instead of against it. It’s a way of farming that rebuilds soil health, improves biodiversity, and strengthens water systems, all while producing nutrient-dense food. By using natural cycles to return carbon and essential nutrients to the soil, regenerative farming and ranching helps create a healthier planet, stronger local economies, and better food for all.

While only about 1.5% of farms in the United States are regenerative, compared to 5% being certified organic, and 15% using some regenerative practices but aren't fully regenerative, there is a strong, growing movement in regenerative agriculture, ranching and farming. We will be updating and adding to this list of regenerative agriculture resources as we continue to learn.

Regenerative Organizations Leading the Way:

  • Regenerative Agriculture Foundation
Collaborates with various stakeholders to advance regenerative agriculture and develop solutions to climate change and other global challenges.

  • TomKat Ranch
Focuses on regenerative ranching practices to produce healthy food, support biodiversity, and combat climate change.

  • Noble Research Institute
Provides free learning resources and conducts research to support regenerative ranchers in improving both soil health and profitability–which is essential to the continued success of regenerative agriculture and farming.

  • Rodale Institute
Pioneers in organic farming research, offering insights into regenerative practices and their benefits.

  • The Savory Institute
An international organization aimed at helping to regenerate the world’s grasslands, and connects consumers and educators with verified regenerative producers through various networks and programs.

  • Regenerative Agriculture Alliance
A regenerative agriculture industry alliance that advocates for ecosystem management through regenerative poultry systems.

  • The National Bison Assocation
The National Bison Association (NBA) is a key organization promoting regenerative bison ranching, supporting many bison initiatives including the first verified regenerative bison products through the Savory Institute’s Land to Market program.

  • The Texas Tribal Buffalo Project
The Texas Tribal Buffalo Project focuses on healing the generational trauma of Lipan Apache descendants and other native nations and supports regenerative bison herds, traditional indigenous agricultural practices and healthier ecosystems to restore the harmonic relationships between buffalo and the environment.

Regenerative Influencers & Educators:

  • Joel Salatin (Polyface Farms)
Considered one of the early pioneers of regenerative farming, Salatin promotes pasture-based livestock systems, direct-to-consumer food models, and decentralized, ethical agriculture.

  • Will Harris (White Oak Pastures)
A leader in regenerative ranching, Harris transformed his family’s third generation Georgia cattle farm into a multi-species, vertically integrated operation that prioritizes soil health, animal welfare, and local food systems.

  • Richard Perkins
Author of "Regenerative Agriculture" and "Making Small Farms Work," Perkins offers extensive practical knowledge on regenerative farming practices.

  • Greg Judy and Jan Judy (Green Pastures Farm)
Known for his work in holistic management and mob grazing, Judy and his wife educate on regenerative ranching techniques through workshops, publications and their YouTube channel.

  • Ray Archuleta
A soil health expert and dynamic speaker, Archuleta advocates for regenerative agriculture practices to improve soil function and ecosystem health.

  • Taylor Collins and Katie Collins (Roam Ranch)
Taylor and Katie, co-founders of EPIC Provisions and Force of Nature Meat, established Roam Ranch in 2017 near Fredericksburg, Texas, a regenerative farm focusing on holistic land management practices, including rotational grazing of bison, to restore soil health and biodiversity.

  • Gabe Brown (Brown’s Ranch)
A regenerative rancher and soil health advocate, Brown revolutionized his North Dakota farm by eliminating synthetic inputs and restoring biodiversity through no-till farming, cover crops, and adaptive grazing.

Regenerative Documentaries & Films

At Wild Horizon, we're proud to work exclusively with regenerative ranchers and farmers who are rebuilding soil health while producing nutrient-dense grass-fed and pasture-raised beef. While regenerative farms may be a small percentage of total farms today, we believe regenerative agriculture represents the future of farming – and the key to healthier food, healthier soil, and a healthier planet.
